A musical instrument made of a leather bag, filled with wind by a tube blown by the player. There are other three or four tubes, one a chanter with eight holes.. G-clef is the only scale used. It is an ancient instrument, and was known to the Greeks and Romans. It is the national musical instrument of the Scottish Highlanders, and is used in the Tyrol and in other parts of Europe.
