Air reduced by great pressure and intense cold to the liquid state. This process, of recent discovery, can now be performed with ease and rapidity, large quantities being produced at a low cost. Efforts are being made to use it as a source of power. Air can also be frozen into the solid state, and every known gas, even the volatile hydrogen, can be liquified.
