Common Ox-Tongue, the Common, or Lang-de-boeuf, Picris echioides, L. an indigenous plant, growing on the borders of corn-fields, and flowering in the months of July and August.- When young, this vegetable affords an agreeable potherb : its juice is milky, and not too acrid.
