Parsley-Piert, or Aphaves arvensis, L. a low, indigenous plant; growing in corn-fields, and in dry gravelly lands ; flowering from the month of May till August.—It is eagerly relished by sheep, and may also be used as a salad-herb.—In its medicinal effects, it is strongly diuretic ; and supposed to be an effectual solvent of the stone in the urinary bladder.
