Transfer of personal property by the act of the parties may take place through any of the following methods:

(1) Gifts, inter vivos.

(2) Gifts, causa mortis.

(3) Will or testament.

(4) Sales.

(5) Indorsements.

(6) Assignments.

(7) Bailments.

Transfers by sales and bailments have already been discussed. Transfers of property by will or testament will be considered under the subject Wills,27 and that by indorsements under the subject of Bills and Notes.28
