The great mass of injunctions are prohibitory injunctions. A prohibitory injunction prohibits the doing of a certain act, and is used for the purpose of preventing a threatened but non-existing injury.6
The various acts against which an injunction may be issued are almost unlimited in number. The most important classes will be taken up in the following sections.
