On account of the fact that the laws governing the organization and management of corporations, are almost entirely statutory, and on account of the fact that the statutes of the different states on this subject differ so greatly, it has been deemed admissible to give a brief account of some of the statutory provisions relative to corporation in the laws of several of the different states and territories. The states thus selected have been the largest states in the Union and those states under whose laws incorporation most frequently takes place.
