The remaining portion of this chapter will be devoted to the illustration of the terms which have now been given, with somewhat fuller statement in some cases of the principles which lie behind them. The arrangement is that which has been followed through Parts I and II. In other words, the principles of variation will now be seen at work upon the factors of society and the forms of social organization.
