THIS INDENTURE WITNESSETH, That the Mortgagor, John Doe, of the City of Vincennes, and State of Indiana, mortgages and warrants to Richard Roe of the City of Terre Haute, in the State of Indiana, to secure the payment of a certain promissory note, executed by John Doe, bearing even date herewith, payable to the order of Samuel Lund the following described Real Estate to-wit:

Lot one in Block two of Section one, Township two North, Range three, East of the Third Principal Meridian, situated in said City of Terre Haute, in the State of Indiana, hereby releasing and waiving all rights under and by virtue of the Homestead Exemption Laws of this State.
