To make a cement for fixing the glass of an aquarium melt together 2 parts of pitch and 1 part of guttapercha; apply to the joints hot, and slightly warm the glasses before pressing them in position. The seams may be neatly finished on the outside by slightly heating a small poker and running it along the cement. Another cement can be made by mixing gold size to a paste with zinc oxide.
