In distilling lavender water, a copper or glass still and a condenser will be required. The lavender flowers should be placed in the still, covered with water, and then heated; the water distilling over will contain the essential oil of lavender, and may be used as lavender water. The water may be cleared by shaking it with a little fuller's-earth, allowing the latter to settle out, and then decanting from the deposit.
