Bronzing is an attempt to produce the effect of bronze on other metals or substances. A solution of sal ammoniac and salt Of sorrel in vinegar is used for metals, while a composition of yellow ocher, Prussian blue, and lampblack dissolved in glue water is used for wood, plaster figures, etc.
