F. elatior: stem bearing few runners, which root and form new plants at the nodes, as in F. vesca, but taller, with fewer runners and flowers, usually entirely or partially unisexual; leaves ternate, the leaflets oblong, plaited, coarsely-toothed, hairy; fruit perfumed. - Hautbois Strawberry. - Woods in the south; rare. Fl. June to September.
