Petals, inversely heart-shaped, more than twice the length of the sepals. Pods, quite long. The narrow, lance-shaped, opposite leaves grow smaller toward the end of the branch, on weak petioles. Stems, ascending, somewhat downy, 4 to 8 inches high. May to July.

Dry, rocky fields.
