Elceagnus, from the Greek, an olive; the tree having a striking resemblance to the olive tree. Shrubs, or small trees, ten or fifteen feet high.
E. angustifolia, and E. argentea, are shrubs or low trees, with elegant silvery foliage, their only recommendation.
