One and one-fourth cupfuls granulated sugar.
One-half cup butter.
One pint milk.
Four cups flour.
One tablespoonful baking powder.
Cinnamon or lemon flavor.
Whip the sugar, butter and eggs together, add the milk and flavoring, mix well, sift the baking powder and flour together and mix in, roll out to thickness desired, cut with doughnut cutter and cook in hot grease, dip in granulated sugar and powder with cinnamon.
One and one-fourth pounds sugar.
Three ounces butter.
One-fourth teaspoon salt.
Teaspoonful spices and extract.
One quart milk or water.
Three-fourths ounce baking powder.
Enough flour to make a medium stiff dough. Follow same directions as for making doughnuts with baking powder.
Four pounds flour. One-fourth pound butter. One and one-fourth pound sugar. One quart milk. Six eggs.
Two and one-half ounces baking powder. Rub sugar, butter and eggs together add milk and mix in, then add the flour with the baking powder sifted in it. Then treat same as for any other doughnut.
