The small quantity of syrup retained in the filter and clarifying medium may be recovered by pouring on a sufficient quantity of warm water, receiving it in a receptacle and evaporating the liquid to a syrupy consistence, filtering and clarifying it again, but it is generally washed out and the solution poured away.
