There is much difference of opinion respecting the value of frequent bathing. The general consensus of opinion is that water is an agent of cleanliness and favorable to the production of health, and that its use should never be omitted even in times of stress when facilities for its application are at hand. It is not recommended that persons suffering from severe diseases should use water in a remedial way on their own volition. The physician should study the condition and apply water in such manner as his judgment may indicate for securing the desired results.
