» Cook in double boiler until thick, one cup brown sugar, one-half cup sweet milk, yolk one egg, add one-half cup grated chocolate, flavor with vanilla or lemon, then add one cup brown sugar, one-half cup granulated sugar, one-half cup butter, onehalf cup sweet milk, two eggs, one teaspoon soda, three tablespoons cold water, two and one-half cups flour. Bake in layers.
Two cups brown sugar, three-fourths cup water, butter size of egg. Cook until creamy, and spread. - Mrs. C. M. Wolfe, Williams, Ariz.
One cup sugar, three-fourths cup butter, two cups flour, two teaspoons baking powder. Mix this with your hands, take out of this one cup, then add to the rest two eggs and one cup of sweet milk.
