Tomato juice, 1 pint,
Onion, 1, cut fine,
Almonds, or other nuts, a handful.
After the rice has been boiled and removed from the fire, add to it the above ingredients, and let the whole boil slowly for 1 hour longer. The almonds must not be cut, or crushed, but put in whole.
