1/4 pound good English cheese - grated. 3 eggs, boiled hard - use the yolks only.
1 table-spoonful melted butter. Thin slices of buttered bread. Pepper and salt.
Rub the yolks to a smooth paste with the butter, season, and work in the cheese. Spread the bread, and fold upon the mixture.
