2 cups flour.
1 cup sour cream 1 cup shortening.
3 eggs.
1 teaspoon vanilla.
1/2 teaspoon salt.
1 teaspoon baking powder.
1 teaspoon soda.
Add enough flour to roll. Line pan with very thin layer. Spread with filling, and cover with another thin layer. Bake in a moderate oven. Cut in squares.
1 cup sugar.
2 tablespoons flour.
1 package raisins or dates ground.
1 cup boiling water.
Cook slowly ten minutes.

2/3 cup butter.
1 cup thick sour cream.

1/2 cup warm water.
2 tablespoons flour 1 cup chopped dates.
Cook and cool.
Roll cookies one-eighth inch thick, spread with a teaspoon of filling and cover with second cookie; press the edges together and bake in hot oven. Filling may have walnuts added or may be made with raisins or figs.
