Make Chocolate Sauce according to the.recipe on page 63.

Put in shaker

1/2 cup Chocolate

Sauce 2 cups milk pinch of salt 1 cup cracked ice

Shake vigorously 2 servings.

To crack the ice, drop the cubes into a small plastic bag.

Wrap the bag in a newspaper and pound it with a rolling pin or a hammer.

A glass jar with a screw top makes a very good shaker.

Chocolate Fudge Soda

Why go to the drug store ? You can make your own sodas at home.

First, make Chocolate Sauce.

Combine in top of double boiler

Gradually add

1 pkg. Betty Crocker

Chocolate Fudge Flavor Frosting Mix

2 tbsp. light corn syrup

3 tbsp. soft butter

2/3 cup milk

Stir occasionally over rapidly boiling water for 5 minutes. Cool. Store in covered container in refrigerator.

Makes 2 cups.

Mix in large glass

Add

Pour in

2 tablespoons

Chocolate Sauce 1/4 cup carbonated water

1 to 2 large scoops vanilla ice cream

1/4i cup more carbonated water

Stir to blend slightly and serve at once.
