2 teacupfuls packed soft butter equals 1 pound. 1½ cups firm butter equals 1 pound. 8 large or 10 medium sized eggs make 1 pound.
Size of a medium egg equals 1 ounce. 4 heaping tablespoonfuls soft butter equals 1 cupful. 1 pint well-packed soft butter equate 1 pound. 1 white of egg equals 1 ounce.
1 yolk of egg equals 1 ounce.
60 drops equal 1 teaspoonful or drachm.
4 tablespoonfuls equal 1 ounce.
2 gills equal ½ pint.
A wine glass holds ½ gill.
4 teaspoonfuls equal 1 tablespoonful, 4 ounces equal 1 gill. A common tumbler holds ½ pint. 1 small teacup holds 1 gill.
