4 quarts water

2 quarts milk

2 quarts white corn meal

1 cup fat or oil 4 tablespoons salt 12 eggs

Put water and corn meal in double boiler, bring to scalding point, and cook fifteen minutes longer; add milk. When lukewarm, add well-beaten eggs and other ingredients. Bake in well-oiled baking dishes one hour, or until a knife comes out clean. Serve from dish with spoon.
