It is well to remember that the biennial meeting of the American Pomological Society is to be held this year at Nashville, Tenn., and it is time Southern horticulturists especially are working up the fact. Some few Southern horticulturists have scarcely ever failed to attend the meetings of the society wherever they have been held, but the great bulk of those who have sustained the society have been Northern and Western men. Two recent meetings have been held in the South - Baltimore and Richmond It costs heavily for the great bulk to go so far away from home, and Nashville this year is still farther away. But we are quite sure the Southern people, in both pleasure and information, will make it attractive to a large attendance.
