A Mission Valley correspondent writes: "A few years ago Yucca gloriosa was abundant on our prairies, and and seemed to me a prince in the floral kingdom. It diversified every landscape twenty-seven years ago. When I first came to Texas, I wrote a volume of Sketches of the Southwest. I concluded to keep them till they were forty years old and have them published then to show contrast. In this I wrote a description of the Yucca as it then looked to me when I first came from New York. At some leisure time I may send this description to you".

[It would be a pleasure to receive it. - Ed. G. M].
