This is probably the first local catalogue ever issued, which gives mosses, lichens, algae, and fungi, and is really a complete list of the members of the vegetable kingdom. Another departure is, that instead of the old "twenty miles" round, we have a radius of " fifty miles," which is a tribute to the steam travel of the day. A large number of the plants are emigrants, while the natives seem to be getting on the "rare" list. It is unquestionably the best local catalogue ever issued.
