In the preparation of this edition of Hygiene of the Nursery the subject matter has been carefully revised, and amended wherever necessary to keep abreast with the advances and improvements constantly being made in the methods of managing infants and children. Special attention has been given to the chapter on "Food," and numerous additions have been made to the "Dietary." These changes and additions the writer believes will materially enhance the working value of the book, and perhaps increase its claim to the favor which has been so flatteringly accorded to it in the past.
