Under the name of gastralgokenosis Boas1 described a condition in which there is present pain in the stomach when it becomes empty. Partaking of food very soon allays the pain. This condition may appear periodically or permanently. It belongs to the sensory neuroses of the stomach. Besides the nerve sedatives frequent meals are here indicated.
