Coccus, Cochineal. The tincture of this well-known coloring agent has long been used in small doses throughout Germany in whooping cough where clear, stringy andropy mucus is vomited. Some of our American practicians add Yr. Cardamomi Co. to whooping-cough mixtures because of the cochineal contained in it. Personally, cochineal would never be depended upon alone. I add drosera to the Tr. Cardamomi Co., and get encouraging results toward the latter end of the spasmodic stage.
