Habitat. - Africa.
Part employed. - The gum-resin, as imported.
Characters. - Dull, yellowish-white, friable tears of irregular shape and size, generally hollow, nearly inodorous; taste acrid and burning. The powder irritates the nose and eyes exceedingly.
Time for collecting. - September.
Preparation. - Tincture, using rectified spirit.
