The gum of the Salai tree of India (Boswellia thurifera),is called Kunduru in Sanskrit. It is used as an incense and as a local application to buboes.1

Myrrh is called Vola in Sanskrit and is described as an article to be had in the benialis shop, thereby implying it to be an imported drug. It is said to be useful in fever, epilepsy and uterine affections, but is not much used in practice.
