Acetic acid occurs in the Pharmacopoeia in three grades of strength- (1) The glacial or concentrated acid, which is three times as strong as (2) the ordinary acetic acid, which itself is eight times stronger than (3) the dilute acid. Vinegar is an impure form of the last mentioned.
