M. For one pill. S. One pill to be taken thrice daily. At the same time a small piece of mercurial ointment may be rubbed into the axilla night and morning. With this treatment maintain a dilatation of the pupil.

If the patient be feeble prescribe at the same time the following mixture:
℞ Quiniae sulphatis................................gr. xij
Acidi sulphurici diluti.....3 ij
Tincturae aurantii..................................3 vj
Aquae destillatae...... ℥ viij
M. S. One tablespoonful in water thrice daily, while the mercurial inunction is used night and morning.
If the patient had already been salivated before he first comes under treatment, the preceding treatment for rheumatic iritis should be enforced. - George Lawson, F. R. C. S.
