Hard, colorless, transparent, six-sided, rhombic prisms terminated by pyramids, or a white powder, odorless, and having a somewhat bitter, saline taste. Solubility. - In 9.5 parts of water; insoluble in Alcohol.
Sodium, arsenic, lead, copper, zinc, iron, aluminum, calcium, magnesia and chlorides.
Dose, 1/2 to 4 dr.; 2. to 15. gm.
