Eng., Sweet Almond. The ripe seeds of Prunus Amygdalus dulcis.
Official Preparation and Constituent.
Eng., Emulsion of Almond. Represents about 6 per cent. of the sweet almond.
4 fluidounces (120 mils).
Eng., Expressed Oil of Almond.
1 fluidounce (30 mils).
The Expressed Oil of Almond is contained in several official preparations.
Demulcent and nutrient. Uses.-Principally employed in the preparation of ointments, emulsions, etc.
Seldom prescribed as such.
