Latin, Lobelia
Eng., Lobelia. The dried leaves and flowering tops of Lobelia inflata.
Average Dose
21/2 grains (0.15 Gm.).
Fluidextractum Lobeliae
Eng., Fluidextract of Lobelia. Average Dose.-2 1/2 minims (0.15 mil).
Tinctura Lobeliae
Eng., Tincture of Lobelia. Represents 10 per cent. of the drug.
Average Dose
I5 minims (1 mil).
Therapeutic Action
Antispasmodic, depressant, emetic, expectorant.
Uses
Principally used for asthma, bronchitis, and kindred conditions. Seldom prescribed.
