Eng., Oil of Turpentine. Synonyms, Spirit of Turpentine, Turpentine. A volatile oil distilled from Turpentine.
A thin, colorless liquid.
A characteristic odor and taste.
Almost insoluble in water. Soluble in 5 parts of alcohol.
Eng., Rectified Oil of Turpentine. Form, Odor, Taste, Solubility.-See Oleum Terebinthinae. Average Dose.-5 minims (0.3 mil).
Eng., Rosin Cerate. Synonym, Basilicon Ointment. Rosin, 350 Gm.; Yellow Wax, 150 Gm.; Lard, 500 Gm.
Eng., Emulsion of Oil of Turpentine. Rectified Oil of Turpentine, 15 mils; Expressed Oil of Almond, 5 mils; Syrup, 25 mils; Acacia, 15 Gm.; Water, to 100 mils.
1/2 fluidrachm (2 mils).
Eng., Turpentine Liniment. Rosin Cerate, 650 Gm.; Oil of Turpentine, 350 Gm.
