Eng., Sodium Hydroxide. Synonym, Caustic Soda.
Dry, white or nearly white flakes, fused masses or pencils.
Odorless. A caustic taste.
In about 0.9 part of water. Very soluble in alcohol.
Eng., Solution of Sodium Hydroxide. A colorless aqueous solution containing about 5 per cent. of the drug. Average Dose.-15 minims (1 mil).
Antacid, caustic. Uses.-Seldom prescribed.
