Lard consists of a fluid oil, olein, with stearin and palmitin, which are solid oils.
It is used as the basis of various official ointments.
Benzoinated Lard. Ten Gm. of benzoin in 1000 Gm. of lard.
Adeps Lanae. Wool Fat. The fat of the wool of sheep.
