The shower bath generally to be found in the private bath room consists of a cast-iron, enameled, or porcelain receptor set upon the floor, around which the piping is arranged, the whole being inclosed by rubber curtains. The waste is connected to the receptor, and should be 1 1/2 inch in size, the vent being of the same size.

An excellent shower device is also made for use in connection with the lavatory. It consists of a swinging bracket with a shower at the end of it, the swinging part being connected with a supply pipe at the back of the lavatory, the spray being thrown down into the bowl.
