Model No. 3. - Round Flower Stick.
Prepare pieces of wood 3-4" wide and 15" long, sawed from a 7-8" board.
With the use of the knife and proceding as in model No. 1 cut the stick to an oblong 7-16" x 15".
Draw a line around the stick 1-4" from one of the ends.
Place the stick horizontally in the vice and with the cross-cut saw cut the stick off 1-16" outside this line. Square the end with a knife up to this line.
Draw a line around the stick 14 1-16" from the end. Cut off the end at this line, proceeding as with the other end.
Quadrisect all edges of both ends and join opposite points.
Cut all corners to lines making an octagonal prism. Round all corners, making a cylinder.
Draw lines around the stick 1-16" from one end and 1' from the other end. Round these ends according to the drawing.
