To make reference easier and quicker, I have divided these Influence Lines, so very important to locate and read prop-ery, into Two Divisions, each one of them subdivided, as follows:
a. Concentric to the Line of Life.
b. Cross Lines.
II, Lines of Influence from the Mounts of Venus or Lower Mars, or the Line of Life.
a. Ending within the Triangle and cutting no main line.
b. Ending on one of the other Mounts.
c. Merging into or just cutting one or more of the other Main Lines.
e. Ending in a sign.
f. Starting from a sign and ending in a sign.
I, Lines of Influence Inside of the Mounts of Venus end Lower Mars.
Other concentric lines, further inside the Mounts of Venus and Lower Mars. Influences of persons of the other sex upon the subject. The stronger and longer the Lines and the nearer to the Line of Life, the more powerful these influences.
A line pretty far down the Mount of Verrus, running parallel to the Line and rising to the Lower Mount of Mars - the person in whom the subject is interested will drift away more and more.
(In a woman's hand), unfavorable attachment in early life having caused great sorrow to the subject.
A line starting with several branches from the Line and terminating on the Lower Mount of Mars - Repeated persecutions worrying the subject (a woman) through the passionate nature of the man in the case.
I am bound to state that the two observations above have never been verified by me personalty, and that Desbarrolles and the trustworthy ones among modern. Palmists have not given them any value. The many wrinkles at that particular place in the hand, determined by the constant activity of the thumb, although they doubtless have a signification of their own, are yet unexplained satisfactorily. The lower Mount of Mars, at its. best, means resignation, persistency; and at its worst, stubborn obstinacy. Logically, all lines from it ought to be interpreted with those general meanings ever in mind
In general, Lines cutting the Line of Life from the Mounts of Venus or
Lower Mars, when they do not cross any other line than the Line of Life -Interference of relatives.
A number of those lines - Nervous nature - worried about trifles.
A deep line from the second phalanx of the thumb across the Mount of Venus and just cutting the Line - Great sorrow from the death or faithlessness of some one much loved.
If this Line comes from the first phalanx of the thumb - Death from a metallic weapon (sword or dagger).
A semi-circular Line just crossing the Line of Life - Sudden grave illness or even death.
