Where an administrator or executor has had his letters revoked, he is still liable on his bond to his successor, or to any other person who may have been injured, for any mismanagement of the estate committed to his care. An action may be maintained by his successor for the property effects of the estate which had come into the possession of the former administrator, and which have been lost or misapplied.
