Ozaena is an inflamed condition of the lining membrane of the nose, producing an offensive discharge from the nostrils. This is very common in the pug dog, and also more or less in toy spaniels. There is little to be done in the way of treatment; a solution of chloride of zinc (2 grains to the ounce of water), may be thrown into the nostrils with a syringe.
