Where A promises to pay to B a liability of C's incurred at the time that A's promise is made, if C does not pay it, as where B furnishes C with goods,1 such as lumber2 or fodder for horses,3 or renders services,4 or where B leases realty to C,5 or furnishes board to C,6 such promises are included in this clause of the statute.
