In London, a different system of charging sawing of deals is adopted to that in the provinces, viz. cuts are charged so much per dozen, the price varying with the length; lipping being called flat-cuts in the same way. In the country method, all cuts in the deal or log are charged for at per 100 ft. super, and all rips or flat-cuts under 6 in. are charged at per 100 ft. lineal; herewith are the usual prices for this work, viz.: -
