The total of officers and men enlisted for the navy reaches 11,000, but this figure includes the marine infantry. The executive officers are divided as follows: 1 vice-admiral, 3 rear admirals, 25 captains, 40 commanders, 400 lieutenants and sub-lieutenants, and 200 midshipmen.
