H. paniculatum - Color, yellow. This may be recognized by similar flower-heads to the last, on leafy stems, with leaves green, not marked with purple. Heads small, on very slender pedicels. Late July to September.
A much-branched, somewhat hairy plant rather taller than the last. Flowers smaller. Thin, open woods, dry pastures and fields from Nova Scotia to Georgia and Alabama and westward.
